commercialserviceAs the trade promotion arm of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration, the U.S. Commercial Service is dedicated to assisting U.S. companies that are interested in selling their products or services overseas. With trade specialists in more than 100 U.S. cities and 75 countries, the Commercial Service organizes and supports a variety of initiatives to help companies begin exporting or increase their sales overseas. These initiatives include trade shows, trade missions, conferences, seminars, and webinars.


Trade Shows

They give U.S. companies the opportunity to exhibit their products or services to international buyers, distributors, and representatives. The Commercial Service promotes trade shows that provide the best global marketing opportunities for U.S. companies. In addition, the Commercial Service provides companies marketing and promotion services, market intelligence, logistical support, and on-site assistance.

Trade Missions

Trade missions are overseas programs that include one-to-one meetings with foreign industry executives and government officials; networking events with local business associations; briefings and roundtables with the local business and legal community; site visits to local facilities; and media coverage. These missions are excellent ways for U.S. companies to meet directly with potential clients in their markets, gather market intelligence, and generate sales.
