Hawaii Pacific Export Council Sponsorship Opportunities

The Hawaii Pacific Export Council plays a fundamental role in strengthening Hawaii’s economy. The Council’s mission is to help small-to-medium sized local businesses introduce their goods and services to foreign markets. In the past year, the U.S. Commercial Service based out of Honolulu helped companies export to more than 20 countries around the world totaling millions of dollars in export sales.

These sales bring foreign investment into our islands and help create new high quality jobs – positions filled by local talent. Companies that export are less likely to go out of business, typically paying 15 percent higher wages than industry standards.Although new markets may offer abundant opportunities, entering them can be daunting for small businesses, especially first time exporters. The Council’s educational seminars and customized advice are designed to help local companies overcome these obstacles and achieve success in the global marketplace.

Export University, a series of trainings and seminars developed by the Hawaii Pacific Export Council, provides local businesses with the tools and insight needed to become a successful exporter and to reach new markets. Since its launch in 2011, Export University has helped many local companies make their first international sale.

Hawaii is a closely interconnected community and the Hawaii Pacific Export Council recognizes that community involvement is needed to help small businesses thrive.
